Aries to benefit from training grant

The Center for Business Performance Solutions at Waukesha County Technical College has been awarded a $134,000 Workforce Advancement Training grant to aid its partnership with Aries Industries Inc.

 

The grant, which is awarded for business development based on a competitive process among technical colleges, will go toward Aries’ lean quality initiative and training in supervisory development and customer service.

Waukesha-based Aries manufactures underground video inspection and rehabilitation equipment. The products are used in the water, wastewater, mining and oil and gas industries.

Aries will work to gain lifelong customers through great service and consistency. The company has 100 employees.

“Over the past year, Aries Industries has made a significant investment in building a foundation for this next step,” said Joseph Weitzer, dean of the Center for Business Performance Solutions. “Its leadership understands the value of implementing a strategic improvement process, and it started with a commitment of resources to educating employees, building a foundation for developing improved processes, engaging employees in process improvement initiatives and providing time for employees to learn and implement process improvements systems.”
