The Red Card meal-plan organization and former University of Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer offensive tackle Mark Tauscher really are teaming up to buy Isthmus Publishing Co., publisher of popular alternative weekly magazine Isthmus and a news website in Madison.

BizTimes Around Town: 833 East groundbreaking

Real estate development firm Irgens recently celebrated the groundbreaking of 833 East with a ceremony at the U.S. Bank Center. The 17-story office tower at 833 E. Michigan St. in downtown Milwaukee will contain 358,017 square feet of office space and cost an estimated $101.51 million to build. The general contractor for the project is Milwaukee-based CG Schmidt, Inc., and the architect is Milwaukee-based Kahler Slater.
