*Thursday, July 10, through Sunday, July 13, Milwaukee’s annual Bastille Days will enliven downtown Milwaukee with French culture, music and cuisine. The free festival is based in Cathedral Square Park and features live music performances, an international marketplace, chef and wine demonstrations, authentic French and Cajun cuisine, a 43-foot Eiffel Tower replica and more. The festival picks up speed on Thursday evening with the BMO Harris Bank Storm the Bastille Run, a 5K run/walk and two-mile walk downtown in honor of the 18th century attack on Paris’ Bastille prison. *Friday, July 11, Newaukee will showcase the music of Mutts and Le Freak during its 2014 season of the Koss Lunar Series at the Milwaukee Athletic Club Rooftop. The weekly music series, which Newaukee presents in partnership with the Koss Corporation, features live music, a DJ, food and beverage service. The series, free for Newaukee members, runs every Friday evening from 6 to 11 p.m. through Sept. 5. Attendees should plan to dress in business casual attire. *Tuesday, July 15, the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce will hold its July “Tech Trends” event as part of its monthly series that helps individuals stay up-to-date on software, Internet safety, and technological innovation. The series is led by Gjeret Stein of Sensible Gurus in Brookfield. The July 15 event will focus on the iOS7 update, AppleTV, iPhones and iPads. The information session will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the chamber’s office, located at 17100 W. Bluemound Rd. Ste. 203 in Brookfield. *Wednesday, July 16, FUEL Milwaukee will host an orientation at the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce’s offices, located at 756 N. Milwaukee St. in Milwaukee. The orientation will cover FUEL’s mission and educate prospective members about the benefits of joining the organization. Attendees will also have an opportunity to network. *Monday, July 21, through Wednesday, July 23, the Milwaukee Brewers take on the Cincinnati Reds at Miller Park, located at 1 Brewers Way in Milwaukee. Games on Monday and Tuesday are scheduled for 7:10 p.m., and Wednesday’s game will begin at 1:10 p.m. The Brewers will spend the rest of the week playing home games against the New York Mets. They will challenge the Mets at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, and Friday July 25, and will play at 6:10 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, and at 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, July 27. *Friday, July 25, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will present its monthly “One-on-One with Your Public Official” information session. The free and informal sessions give area business executives, employees and residents an opportunity to sit down with Waukesha County public officials for coffee and a dialogue. This month’s event will feature a candidate forum with candidates for the Waukesha County Sheriff: Eric Severson and Tom Alioto. The event will run from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Waukesha County Business Alliance, located at 2717 N. Grandview Blvd., Suite 300, in Waukesha.
