General Plastics to double production space with $3 million expansion

General Plastics Inc. has begun construction on a $3 million expansion that will nearly double the size of its Glendale production facility to 93,000 square feet. It also added $1 million in new equipment last year, and plans to hire 15 employees over the next 18 months.

Snap-on introduces ergonomic industrial wrench developed at UWM

Kenosha toolmaker Snap-on Inc. introduced a new product – an industrial wrench designed to reduce shoulder injuries – in a ceremony held last week at the company’s headquarters. Created by engineers at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the tool’s ergonomic features were inspired by the need to reduce the number and severity of injuries sustained by meter technicians in the gas industry.

Stainless Foundry appoints new CEO

Milwaukee-based Stainless Foundry and Engineering Inc. recently appointed Jim Stachowiak president and chief executive officer. He replaced Dan Brockington, who resigned in February after 25 years with the company.
