The U.S. Supreme Court on June 25 voted 6-3 to uphold the provision of the Affordable Care Act that allows people using the federal health insurance market to receive tax subsidies.

Children’s Hospital only U.S. pediatric hospital selected for neuroscience initiative
The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin was selected as one of 15 nonprofit and non-governmental organization sites in the United States and Canada to participate in “Change in Mind: Apply Neuroscience to Revitalize Communities,” a three-year initiative of the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Norlien Foundation. The Children’s Hospital is the only children’s hospital in the nation that was chosen to participate in the Change in Mind initiative.
ProHealth Care emergency department to open Monday
ProHealth Care’s expanded and renovated Mukwonago emergency department is set to open on Monday. Located at the D. N. Greenwald Center campus at 240 Maple Ave., the updated emergency department was a $38 million investment.

Assurant to lay off 1,200 Milwaukee employees beginning in August
The State of Wisconsin on June 18 officially received notice from Assurant Inc. that the company will lay off 1,200 workers in Milwaukee beginning in August.
Survey finds Tender Hearts has high employee retention rate
According to the 2015 Home Care Plus Benchmarking Study, Tender Hearts Senior Care in Sheboygan had an employee turnover rate of less than 25 percent in 2014. That is compared to a rate of 88 percent of care giving organizations in the Great Lakes region and 62 percent study wide.
