Pearls nonprofit needs voters to win $250,000
Pearls for Teen Girls, Inc. has a chance to win $250,000 with the help of voters in support of its mission. The Milwaukee nonprofit has been selected out of thousands of charity organizations nationwide to take part in the National 2012 Chase Community Giving Program. The program awards grants to deserving nonprofits from a pot of $5 million. Grants are distributed according to individual votes.

MATC student receives HVACR scholarship
James Jagler, a student of the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and resident of Oak Creek, was awarded a $2,000 scholarship from the Clifford H. “Ted” Rees Jr. Scholarship Foundation. The foundation was created to support future heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians.
Kohl’s to add electric car charging stations at stores
Menomonee Falls-based Kohl's Department Stores today announced the company will expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging station initiative with 36 new stations across 18 additional Kohl's locations by the end of fall 2012.
