Building a smarter Milwaukee

Learn more about:

As the Milwaukee region attempts to turn the page on the Great Recession and rebuild its economy, it will need a new generation of workers capable of thriving with innovation in an era of fiscal austerity.

With students returning to the classrooms this month, Marquette University president Scott Pilarz and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee chancellor Michael Lovell are both beginning their first semesters on the job at the helm of their schools.

Both scholastic leaders exude optimism that their institutions can succeed in building the human pipeline of talent that will be needed to drive the region forward.
