Nominate your Health Care Heroes
BizTimes is accepting nominations for its annual Health Care Heroes Awards.
The awards honor people and organizations making a difference on the front lines of health care in southeastern Wisconsin.
BizTimes readers are encouraged to nominate Health Care Heroes in the following categories: Grand or Lifetime Achievement, Advancements in Health Care, Community Service, Corporate Achievement in Health Care, Health Care Staff, Nurse, Physician and Volunteer.
Winners will be selected by an independent panel of health care professionals.
All Health Care Heroes Award winners will be profiled in the print and online editions of BizTimes Milwaukee. The winners also will be saluted at an awards breakfast on Dec. 9 at Boerner Botanical Gardens.
The inspirational program has been attended by more than 200 people annually and opens the celebration into the holiday season.

TEMPO Milwaukee honors Harley for leadership
TEMPO Milwaukee recognized Harley-Davidson, Inc. Thursday for its resilient leadership that is guiding the company’s transformation for success in a changing world.
The TEMPO Milwaukee Leadership Award was presented this morning at the organization’s sixth annual leadership event. The award draws attention to the companies that present a strong business platform from which they community can learn.
Harley-Davidson chief executive officer Keith Wandell spoke via video about the focus of professional and leadership development as key to the company’s success.
The theme for the 2011 TEMPO Leadership Event was “resilience.”
Tonit Calaway, vice president of human resources, accepted the award on Harley-Davidson’s behalf.
TEMPO’s keynote speaker for the event was Valorie Burton, an expert on resilience.
