What is your core philosophy for doing business? “Success in my business is earned through hard work, trusting your people, and listening to your customers.”

Who is your role model and why? “My father. He set the pace for me to become an accomplished businessman. Ever since I was very young, my father guided me through the distribution business and instilled within me the industry values and philosophies I stand by today.”

What was the funniest thing that has ever happened to you? “In the beer business there is never a dull moment. As the chairman of NBWA (National Beer Wholesalers Association) I was able to meet former President Bush. The first thing out of his mouth upon meeting me was ‘Hey you’re the beer guy.’ To which I replied, ‘Well yes I am.’ He quickly answered back, ‘Well I’m not a customer.’ We both got a laugh off of that one.”
