*Thursday, June 6, Target Free First Thursday will grant free admission to visitors at the Milwaukee Art Museum, 700 N. Art Museum Dr. in Milwaukee. *Thursday, June 6, BizTimes Media will partner with the Waukesha County Business Alliance to present the annual Top 10 Businesses of the Year Awards, which recognize regional companies for financial growth, excellence in customer service and employee relations, and a commitment to the community. Award winners will be honored at a luncheon scheduled to run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Country Springs Hotel, 2810 Golf Rd. in Pewaukee. The luncheon will include a panel of representatives from each of the winning companies. Cost to attend the luncheon for Alliance members is $45 per person or $450 for a corporate table of 10. *Today through Sunday, June 9, the Milwaukee Brewers are scheduled to play home games at Miller Park, 1 Brewers Way in Milwaukee. *Saturday, June 8, Joe De Sena, founder of the Reebok Spartan Race, will run a free kick-butt workout at Milwaukee’s Bradford Beach from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The workout is open to the public and will help prepare participants to tackle the Wisconsin Spartan Sprint at Miller Park in September. The sprint event includes a three-mile course featuring a number of obstacles along the way. Interested participants for this Saturday’s workout do not need to preregister, but those who do will receive a free t-shirt. Workout organizers also suggest participants bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Hunger Task Force. For more information or to register, visit www.spartanracemke.com.

*Thursday, June 20, Well City Milwaukee will offer business owners a Well City Orientation to highlight best practices of workplace wellness programs. Attendees will receive a step-by-step guide outlining ways to create effective, affordable wellness programs. The orientation is free and aligns with Well City Milwaukee’s efforts to make Milwaukee one of the country’s healthiest cities through employee wellness. The orientation will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will be hosted by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) at its offices, located at 756 N. Milwaukee St. in Milwaukee.
