  • Tuesday, April 26 Boelter + Lincoln Marketing, in conjunction with Ascedia/Roll Mobile and A.J. Bombers restaurant will host a tweetup with influential wine retailer, video blogger and best-selling author Gary Vaynerchuk at Milwaukee’s Lakefront Brewery, 1872 N. Commerce St. from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Vaynerchuk will be in Milwaukee to promote his new book, “The Thank You Economy.” Vaynerchuk first gained fame for transforming his family’s New Jersey liquor store into a national wine retailing powerhouse, in part due to his innovative use of social media. Vaynerchuk is now considered one of the nation’s most influential wine reviewers, and hosts the daily Wine Library TV podcast.  His first book, “Crush It! Why Now is the Time to Cash in on your Passion,” made the best-seller lists of the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Amazon.The event is free and open to the public.   • Tuesday, April 26 Helping Businesses Build Assets will host a business networking event at the New Berlin Ale House, 16000 W. Cleveland Ave., New Berlin from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Cost to attend is $10 per person and appetizers and a cash bar will be available. RSVP to Sally@wesayok.com

  • Wednesday, April 27 Financial leaders in the southeastern Wisconsin business community will gather at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel beginning at 7:30 a.m. to hear three Baker Tilly leaders present issues and resolutions surrounding business continuity and examine why it is critical for every organization.   • Thursday, May 5 The Waukesha County Business Alliance, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) and Metropolitan Builders Association (MBA) will hold a State Budget Briefing luncheon with Mike Huebsch, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Administration. The luncheon will be held at the Brookfield Suites Hotel & Convention Center, 1200 S. Moorland Road in Brookfield from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. The briefing is only for members of the two organizations and costs $40. Attendees will gain an insider’s view of the state budget process, learn how the 2011-2013 budget will impact southeastern Wisconsin businesses, and find out how the state’s funding priorities align with efforts to create jobs and boost economic growth.
