*Friday, March 27, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will hold a “One-on-One with Public Officials” meeting. The event is part of a free monthly series that allows community members to sit down and talk to area officials over coffee. This month’s event will be headlined by state senator and county executive candidate Paul Farrow. The meeting will run from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Waukesha County Business Alliance’s offices, located at 2717 N. Grandview Blvd., Suite 200, in Waukesha. *Friday, March 27, BizTimes Media will shine a light on mental health in the workplace during the Anthem Wellness Summit at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel. The event will feature a lineup of keynote speakers who will highlight techniques for stress management, warning signs of mental health issues, the importance of mental health for overall wellness and best practices for cultivating a mentally healthy workplace. Breakout sessions following the speakers will cover nutrition, fitness, stress management, and best practices for implementing a wellness program. The event, which will also include breakfast, networking and a wellness fair, will run from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $35 for individuals and $350 for a corporate table of 10. *Tuesday, April 7, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce will advise business leaders on best practices for addressing cultural disparities in the workplace at an event titled “Working Across Cultures – How You Manage Your Talent Can Make or Break Your Business.” The program, presented by the MMAC’s World Trade Association International Business Series, will feature insight from speakers representing area companies. The event will run from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Milwaukee Yacht Club, located at 1700 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive in Milwaukee. *Wednesday, April 8, the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce will present a workshop on “Using LinkedIn to Build Your Business: Beyond the Basics.” The workshop follows a March 11th workshop that highlighted the starting points of using LinkedIn. During the April event, attendees will learn next steps to use the social media outlet in order to boost personal and business branding. Along with instructing attendees on how to grow their LinkedIn network effectively, the workshop will cover elements of endorsements, recommendations and privacy, among others. The event will run from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Ottawa University, located at 245 S. Executive Drive, Suite 110, in Brookfield. Cost is $29 for chamber members and $49 for non-members. *Wednesday, April 8, FUEL Milwaukee will host an orientation for new members and prospective members. During the orientation, the young professionals’ organization, which is an extension of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, will highlight the benefits of membership. Attendees will also be able to network with one another. The event will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the MMAC with mingling, a formal presentation and a question and answer session.
