  • Thursday, Aug. 23, Jazz in the Park will feature live music at Cathedral Square Park from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Happy hour begins at 5 p.m. and the music starts at 6 p.m. The Right Now will perform. Food vendors will be onsite, and the event will also feature a picnic decorating contest sponsored by Gruber Law Offices.   • Friday, Aug. 24, One-on-One with Public Officials will be held at the Waukesha County Business Alliance in the TDS Conference Room, 2717 N. Grandview Boulevard in Waukesha, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The monthly meeting is free and gives community business members an opportunity to hear from Waukesha County elected officials.   • Friday, Aug. 24, the annual Women’s Power Ball Golf Outing will take place at Songbird Hills Golf Club, W259 N8700 Hwy. 164 in Hartland, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Waukesha County Business Alliance event will offer women a chance to network and learn golf tips and will include 9 holes of golf and an awards ceremony with hors d’oeuvres.   • Wednesday, Aug. 29, Live at the Lakefront, a free outdoor concert series at the Rotary Amphitheater at Discovery World, 500 N. Harbor Dr., Milwaukee. The series takes place every Wednesday evening until Aug. 29 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Parking is available in the Discovery World garage.   • Friday, Aug. 31, the Young Professionals Fifth Friday will be held at Meiji Cuisine, 2503 Plaza Court in Waukesha from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Waukesha County Business Alliance event is free and will include drink specials. Registration is not required.
