Summerfest opened on Wednesday and drew crowds of music fans, despite foggy weather. In addition to a lineup of concerts, the day featured a parade, a ticket giveaway, and new festival amenities including a large ferris wheel dubbed the “Wheel in the Sky.”
The Summerfest Big Bank Fireworks, presented by Menards and WISN-TV and originally scheduled for Wednesday night, were postponed to Thursday at 9:30 p.m. due to foggy conditions.

Summerfest 2014 runs June 25-29 and July 1-6 at Summerfest Grounds in the Henry Maier Festival Park along Milwaukee’s lakefront.
