BizRemedies launches consultant talent search contest

Organizations:

Pewaukee-based BIZremedies, the joint venture between renowned entrepreneur, George Dalton and strategic planning consultant, Susan Wehrly, will launch a talent search contest for the most effective business consultant in the region. The contest will run Monday, July 18 through Monday, Aug. 15.
“The purpose of the contest is to not only help kick off our qualified consultant program, but also to jump start the engagement on the BizRemedies site,” said Wehrly. “The winner of the contest will be determined by a panel of judges and by the commentary and the feedback they generate on the website.”
Consultants in the contest must complete the BizRemedies Qualified Consultant Program which costs $595, Wehrly said. To offset the cost of the program, contestants will receive a free half hour video session with a professional company which will help them produce video blog posts, Wehrly added.
According to Wehrly, consultants who complete the course can sign up for a profile page on BizRemedies and begin to upload articles, and provide strategic advice and business tips via blog or video blog format.
“Once the consultants fill out their online profile, the public will be able to see and interact with their advice,” Wehrly said. “They can give a ‘thumbs-up’ or add comments saying they agree or disagree. The forum is designed to start a dialogue between consultants and business professionals.”
BizRemedies is offering each contestant a complimentary half an hour video-taping session with Sheepshead Video for entries as well, Wehrly said.
Mark Hackbarth of the Referral Institute Wisconsin recently completed the Qualified Consultant Program and has entered the contest.
“Besides a win,  I am hoping the competition will continue to develop more and more buzz and exposure for our Referral Institute business,” Hackbarth said. “In three years of ownership I have been so busy helping my clients develop their individual Referral Marketing Plans that I have not worked our personal plan effectively. It is time for that to change! I am looking to form new connections, new alliances and get our message out to more people. Additionally, I am looking forward to using the BizRemedies.com web site as a repository for my writings, blogs and tips, as well as a place to get started and hone my skills at creating helpful "how to" videos to help others how to be purposeful at creating referral business.”
Contestants will all get a profile on the BizRemedies site for the duration of the contest. The winner will receive a half day video shoot to produce a one hour video program, a free subscription to the Leadership Development Hub worth $1200, an opportunity to be featured on the BizRemedies website for three months to sell the one-hour video program, and a Marcus Hotels and Resorts prize package, Wehrly said.
“In a way, all the contestants are winners because they get the exposure of the BizRemedies website and they get additional training on public speaking and coaching  from BizRemedies,” Wehrly said.
Contestants can join the contest at any time throughout the month, but Wehrly recommends joining sooner than later so you can develop a following and engaging community, she said.
