DCI Cheese Company

Richfield-based DCI Cheese Company recently expanded its product offerings for its Nikos and Landana brands. The company has also added select cheeses from the Alexis de Portneuf and DuVillage 1860 lines. All of the new items are available exclusively through DCI and can be found in select retailers nationwide. The new products include Nikos fetas, made in Wisconsin by Certified Master Cheesemakers; Landana Red Pesto, Alexis de Portneuf Bleubry, Alexis de Portneuf Le Cendrillon; a vegetable ash-covered goat cheese; Alexis de Portneuf Saint-Honoré, Alexis de Portneuf Snow Goat’s Triple Cream Brie, DuVillage 1860 Moon Dust and DuVillage 1860 Sir Laurier d’Arthabaska. Retailers interested in purchasing the new Nikos, Landana, Alexis de Portneuf and DuVillage 1860 items can contact a DCI sales representative.

Monkey Business

Monkey Business, a full service discount party store, will open in Brookfield in the Sendik’s Towne Centre. The store, which is locally owned by Ken and Mary Wick of Brookfield, will offer party supplies and decorations at discounted prices. With the help of Discount Party Store Developers, the Wicks have a network of over 30 suppliers, giving them the ability to constantly introduce new products into their store.

Association Acumen

Milwaukee-based Association Acumen, a full-service association management company, has been chosen to manage and promote a series of programs aimed at residents in ophthalmology. The programs, entitled Complimentary Ophthalmic Residents Education, or CORE, are jointly sponsored by the National Retina Institute and Association Acumen. They are supported by an educational grant from Alcon. The first program will be held in Baltimore in May. Two other programs will be held in the fall, with locations yet to be determined. The programs will cover state-of-the-art cataract surgical techniques and technology and will include a hands-on microsurgical wet lab. Top ophthalmologists in the field will serve as presenters, providing interactive lectures focusing on the surgical knowledge and technical skills necessary to perform safe and efficient cataract surgery.

Scheibel Halaska

Scheibel Halaska, Milwaukee, recently received two ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Federation (AAF)-Madison chapter. The firm was a Gold ADDY winner in the Elements of Advertising – Logo category for its design of the Pallet USA logo, on behalf of Blackthorne Partners, and a Silver ADDY winner in the Interactive Media – Websites, B-to-B category for its design of the Mertz Associates website. Scheibel Halaska contributing team members include Tom Groff, copy chief, and Vince Halaska, digital marketing manager. The American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards are the advertising industry’s largest competition, attracting over 50,000 entries nationwide through local ADDY competitions.

Graphics Systems

Graphics Systems Corp., Menomonee Falls, was honored by Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp. as the Top SolidWorks Subscription Provider in North America at SolidWorks World 2012 in San Diego. This is Graphics Systems’ second consecutive year achieving the award. This award is presented annually to the SolidWorks provider with the largest percentage of customers that renewed their SolidWorks licenses. More than 95 percent of Graphics Systems customers renewed their software subscriptions with Graphics Systems in 2011.

SolidWorks World 2012 featured additional second-time recognition for Graphics Systems Corporation for their commitment to customer service excellence. Graphics Systems was awarded the “Elite 190 Club Award” for excellence in subscription sales to both new and existing customers. Additionally, Graphics Systems was also named the “Top Subscription Recapture” reseller in North America for their efforts in re-enrolling customers in their support and software maintenance programs.
