Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, recently expanded its master in science in counseling program to include a clinical mental health counseling concentration. The 60-credit program is designed to meet the growing need for mental health counselors specializing in trauma and substance abuse issues. It provides students with increased professional training and competency as well as portability and employability.
The clinical mental health counseling concentration is an approved substance abuse counseling pre-certification program by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services), in addition to being an approved licensed counselor pre-certification program. The concentration also meets counselor licensing requirements for many states that require applicants to have completed a 60-credit master’s program in counseling.
