SunTrust Mortgage Corp. awarded The Equitable Bank with the 2009 SunTrust Mortgage Partner of the Year Award. The award is based on loan quality, volume and an overall positive working relationship. SunTrust works with 1,200 national mortgage partners.
Staples Marketing LLC
Staples Marketing LLC, Pewaukee, was honored with one Bell Award and one Award of Excellence from the Business Marketing Association (BMA) at BMA’s 2010 Bell Awards banquet. Staples Marketing won a Bell Award for its Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) education and outreach video, “10 Stories- One Vision.” The video is a key element in The Zero in Wisconsin campaign (www.ZeroInWisconsin.gov), aimed at reducing the number of preventable traffic fatalities on Wisconsin roadways to zero. Since the campaign launched, WisDOT reported an 8 percent reduction in deaths on Wisconsin roads, and the fewest deaths recorded since 1944. Staples Marketing received an Award of Excellence in the annual report category for its work on the Center for Self-Sufficiency’s annual report. The annual report features the accomplishments of this non-profit agency aimed at helping families learn the skills necessary for healthy, safe relationships.
Tailored Label Products
The United Way of Waukesha has recognized Tailored Label Products, Inc., Menomonee Falls, with two of its Inspire by Example Awards. The Inspire by Example Volunteer Awards recognize individuals and groups who have performed outstanding volunteer service within Waukesha County in the past year. Tailored Label was recognized as Business Partner of the Year and the Bruce Gill Executive Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Mike Erwin, president of Tailored Label. As a result of the recognition, the company was presented with $1,000 for two designated charities of its choice, Hebron House and Big Brother’s Big Sisters.
Swimming Pool Services Inc.
Pewaukee-based Swimming Pool Services, Inc., has won three “Awards of Excellence” from the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. The APSP Midwest Chapter recognized the Pewaukee company in three categories of its 2009 competition: a Gold Award for Manufactured Spas – Exterior Use, a Gold Award for Residential Vinyl Liner 600 Square Feet and Over, and a Silver Award for Residential Interior Pools. Swimming Pool Services also won multiple awards in the 2008 Midwest Chapter competition. The chapter has 115 members in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. Swimming Pool Services won a Bronze Award in 2008 in the APSP Region V contest, consisting of 11 Midwestern states. The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals is comprised of independent pool and spa manufacturers, distributors, swimming pool builders, retailers and service companies.
