Zita Bridal Salon

Zita Bridal Salon, an upscale boutique specializing in wedding gowns and special occasion dresses, recently opened its new store at 761 N. Jefferson St. in downtown Milwaukee. The boutique occupies 3,900 square feet of space of first-floor space in the George Watts & Son building. The relocation of Zita is the second retail deal coordinated by Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21. In June 2011, Zita Bridal Salon co-owners Marina Kuhn and Cynthia Apfelbach formed a new company, C&M Boutique, and assumed ownership of the bridal boutique. After acquiring Zita Bridal Salon, plans to move downtown were expedited by available space at George Watts & Son and retail incentives. Work on the new downtown store began in July 2011. George Watts & Son will continue to operate at 761 N. Jefferson St., however operations will be consolidated to the second level.
