Litecore Inc., a sheet metal fabricator, is moving from the 9,000-square-foot space it leases in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighbrohood to a 41,350-square-foot warehouse the company plans to purchase on the city’s northwest side.
The company plans to purchase a warehouse at 5501 W. Mill Road and will occupy most of the building. It will rent about 15,000 square feet of the building to Liphatech, Inc., a Milwaukee-based pest control manufacturer that will use the space for storage, said John Foster, president of JD Foster, Inc., the parent company of Litecore Inc.
“We’ve had growth and now we have this opportunity to have our own space,” Foster said.
Foster Inc. is seeing a $222,000 loan from the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation. MEDC’s Loan and Finance Committee is to consider the loan request at its April 12 meeting.
The total cost of the building and renovations is $681,000, according to the loan application.
“We’re hoping to move before June 1,” Foster said.
