Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care plans to spend $11 million to relocate its Brookfield clinic to a larger facility at 16985 West Bluemound Road.
The 47,000-square-foot space, formerly a Bally Total Fitness, will allow for expanded services and new facilities for the Aurora Advanced Healthcare Clinic, said Aurora spokeswoman Myrle Croasdale.
Aurora’s existing Brookfield clinic is located at 13850 W. Capitol Dr. The new space, which Aurora will lease, is expected to open in spring, 2014.
The new clinic’s facilities will include a sports medicine gym, a digital mammography space and a new laboratory, and services will include family practice, internal medicine, imaging services, eye care, urgent care, women’s health services and enhanced specialty services, said Croasdale.
About 74,000 patient visits will be provided annually and 87 employees will work at the clinic on an average day, said Croasdale.
