Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care has opened its two new medical facilities in Kenosha, Aurora Cancer Care and Aurora Health Center.
The buildings are next to each other, at 6811 and 6815 118th Ave. The construction of the facilities cost $31 million. They began accepting patients this month, and will host a grand opening on June 28.
The Cancer Center is 38,000 square feet and provides medical oncology, radiation oncology and laboratory services.
The 23,000-square-foot Health Center offers Aurora’s Comprehensive Pain Management Program, an Ophthalmology Center, an Aurora Vision Center and retina services.
“We are excited to begin our next chapter in health care in the Kenosha area with the opening of the new Aurora Health Center and Aurora Cancer Care locations,” said Doug Koch, president of Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. “These facilities were specifically designed to be centered on the patient. This development will increase access for those seeking care, especially for those patients fighting cancer.”
