The branch will be located at 17500 W. Bluemound Road in the 66-acre mixed-use Irgens development project. Associated expects construction will begin in spring 2017 and the branch will open late next summer.

In February, Associated announced it would close its Brookfield Square location at 1 N. Moorland Road, which will occur by fall. That building will be replaced by the second Brookfield location of Chick-fil-A.

The new branch at The Corridor will have traditional teller stations as well as drive-thru lanes and a 24-hour ATM. It will be technology focused, with digital demonstration areas, like the bank’s other newer branches.

Also in The Corridor development are the first Wisconsin Portillo’s restaurant, which opened this month, and a 50,000-square-foot Dick’s Sporting Goods store, expected to open Aug. 3. Addition development including office buildings, a hotel and conference center is also planned at The Corridor.

“We are pleased to be a part of this exciting new project which we believe will enhance the banking experience for our area retail and commercial customers,” said John Halechko, Associated’s director of branch banking. “This high-profile, burgeoning location also allows us to spotlight our new branch design and our fully integrated digital services.”

Associated has more than 200 branches in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota, about 40 of which are in the Milwaukee market. In November, the company opened a $1.3 million, 2,200-square-foot branch at 2815 N. Grandview Blvd. in Waukesha, its fourth in that city.
