Annex expands team

Elm Grove-based investment advisory firm Annex Wealth Management has added two new employees.

Daniel Brown, CFA, has been hired as investment officer. He will work with Annex’s chief investment officer to guide investment policy and strategy, tactical asset allocation, active manager selection and portfolio management.

Brown has more than 23 years of investment management, trust and banking experience. He previously served as director and equity fund manager at M&I Investment Management/BMO Global Asset Management, where he managed equity strategies, as well as mutual funds and separate account strategies for clients.

Richard Kula has been named financial planner and retirement plan specialist. He will help clients meet personal wealth management goals using his expertise in developing tax advantaged retirement savings programs, such as 401(k), 403(b) and SIMPLE IRA plans.

Kula has more than 10 years of financial services experience, most recently serving as a retirement benefits specialist at AXA Equitable. He holds a bachelor’s in business administration and marketing from Carthage College, FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 registrations and life, health and long-term care licenses.

“I’m excited to welcome Dan and Rick to the Annex Wealth Management team,” said David Spano, president and chief executive officer of Annex. “Their extensive experience in the financial services industry and personal approach to doing business will be an added value to our clients.”
