Business organization memberships: MMAC

What has fueled your company’s growth? “The fundamental building blocks of any good organization. Growth initiatives as a result of being close to the customer and a passion to take calculated risks. Such initiatives as growth via organic product development and expansion of current capabilities into new vertical markets and into new geographic locations, like China, and further growth supported by complementary acquisition activity.”

What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth? “Recruiting talented individuals in all phases of the business who share the passion for moving forward as opposed to people just looking for ‘a job.’”

Do you plan to make any changes in your company in the coming months? “Always. Some known and we are working on today, others yet to come. The world, the market, customers and competitors move quickly. If we aren’t moving with these influences (changing), we are being left behind.”

Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? And what traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them? “Many ownership groups and individual entrepreneurs in small to mid-market companies. These individuals are a significant backbone of the US economy and often the quiet, behind-the-scenes groups getting things done. We most admire their hard work ethic, the clear accountability and resourcefulness to ‘make a payroll,’ and the competitive forces they embrace to adapt and improve.”

What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months? “Demand requirements are mixed. Across all industry verticals and across geographic territories we see an increased level of competition.”

What is your company’s most important growth strategy right now? “Continue our path: recruitment of key team members to support our sales and marketing focus; continue new product development rollout; support these activities with smart, complementary acquisitions.”
