Jasmine Mercado, vice president, commercial lender at Brookfield-based Spring Bank, spends much of her time away from the bank serving on the boards and committees of five nonprofit organizations, all focused on education and small business equity and inclusion, according to Heather Nelson, president and CEO of Spring Bank.
“As a Hispanic woman and a commercial lender, Jasmine has navigated the challenging path to executive-level success and is passionately committed to increasing diversity in boardrooms and at negotiation tables,” Nelson said. “At Spring Bank, she is passionate about advancing small businesses to the next level of success. She is able to approve loans for diverse entrepreneurs through creative financing structures.”
Mercado joined Spring Bank in February 2024 after working most recently for Huntington National Bank.
Mercado’s current board service includes executive board co-chair of Forward Community Investments, board member of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, board member of the International Institute of Wisconsin, loan committee member of the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp., and executive board member of Local 212 MATC Believe in Students Fast Fund.
