Gallardo named K’s for a Cause pitcher

Foley & Lardner LLP has selected Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo for this year’s K’s For a Cause Program.

Foley, in partnership with the Brewers Community Foundation will host it’s fifth consectutive K’s For a Cause to support Hunger Task Force.
Each time Gallardo and his teammates from the Brewers pitching staff strike out an opponent at Miller Park, a big blue ‘K’ appears on the K’s For A Cause strikeout meter in right field, and Foley employees make a donation that will directly benefit Hunger Task Force. Gallardo will also contribute $25 for each strike out pitched at Miller Park through the Brewers Community Foundation. The public is invited to join the cause by pledging to donate per strikeout or by making a one-time donation by visiting hungertaskforce.org. Fans can also “text out” hunger with their cell phones by texting FOOD to 52000 to donate $10.
Foley and the Brewers Community Foundation have raised more than $500,000 toward feeding Milwaukee over the last four seasons.
“Wisconsin baseball fans know how to have a good time and making a difference in their community while they cheer on the Brewers makes the game even better,” said Sherrie Tussler, executive director of the Hunger Task Force. “The Foley ‘K board’ adds fun for your office, your family, or your buddies because there’s an even greater reason to root for a win.”
