Scott Gierhahn, president and chief executive officer of New Berlin-based Schroeder Solutions, has used his company’s talent and expertise to give back to the local nonprofit community in bountiful ways. In 2013, Gierhahn and his team assisted Broadscope Disability Services in finding and furnishing its new office space in Greenfield. Gierhahn who now serves on the board for Broadscope, helped create the new design for the space, tore down the old space and provided donated furnishings.
Schroeder Solutions did the same for Variety-the Children’s Charity of Wisconsin when that organization outgrew its existing space earlier this year.
“By the beginning of September we still had not secured new space,” said Gerise LaSpisa, executive director of Variety. “Scott rang me. He stated that he was moved by our cause and that Schroeder Solutions would like to help us.”
In addition to valuable advice, the company was able to donate furniture, carpeting and trucks to move equipment valued at more than $20,000.
