The Marcus Corp. has completed a “multimillion dollar” renovation project for the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva.
Milwaukee-based The Marcus Corp. recently announced that it has completed a "multimillion dollar" renovation project for the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva.
The six-month project included enhancements to the hotel’s 355 guest rooms, redesign of the WELL Spa + Salon, a new outdoor pool deck and the addition of Embers Terrace – an outdoor fireplace area.
“This project was one of the most ambitious undertakings in Grand Geneva’s history,” said managing director Patrick Hansen. “The upgrades have completely transformed our property and guests who have not stayed with us recently will be blown away by what we have done. From the new outdoor pool deck and addition of Embers Terrace to the rejuvenated Well Spa + Salon and redesigned guest rooms – this is a brand new look and feel for Grand Geneva.”
The enhanced guest rooms received new carpeting, drapery, bedding, bathroom fixtures and refrigerators as well as new 37- and 42-inch flat screen televisions. In addition, Seura television mirrors are now featured in all guest bathrooms. The TVs are embedded within the mirrors.
WELL Spa + Salon’s traditional look was converted to a contemporary motif incorporating earthy, Scandinavian themes woven through the design of the furniture and soft, natural lighting. The spa’s locker rooms were upgraded with mahogany wood, redesigned whirlpools, wet and dry saunas, flat screen televisions and amenity bars. New lounges were added for spa guests.
Grand Geneva’s outdoor pool deck received enhancements to the main pool, jacuzzi and kiddie pool. The main pool features eight arching fountains that change colors for nighttime displays. It has also been equipped with underwater music speakers and underwater benches.
Adjacent to the remodeled outdoor pool deck is the new Embers Terrace, which has a 14-foot outdoor fireplace, an upscale living room setting and views overlooking Grand Geneva’s rolling hills, lake and 18th hole of the Brute – one of the hotel’s two golf courses.
