Connecture Inc. recognized that regional health plans needed an automation solution to help them compete with large plans and that the regional market solution needed to provide speed to market, process improvements and efficiencies.
So, Connecture developed its newest software innovation, InsureConnect EZ, which came on the market last year.
InsureConnect EZ allows any size health plan to reap the benefit of the company’s 15 years of experience, according to Curt Schumacher, senior product vice president.
“We packaged the best and most popular features from InsureConnect, our highly configurable premier product, into a feature-rich software solution that enables clients to achieve their operational and financial goals,” he said. “There are many software products on the market for the insurance industry, but ours takes what had been a lengthy process and packages it into a customized, efficient solution.”
Connecture’s new software product was developed for health plans with 250,000 or fewer members to allow them to more effectively compete at a lower cost of ownership. An online solution for any line of business and any market segment, InsureConnect EZ includes standard functionality, a proven implementation and rollout methodology, and hosting services – all in one package.
“We leveraged our wide experience and industry best practices to make InsureConnect EZ a solution that’s robust, quick to implement, and cost effective. It’s for health plans that have a concentrated market and targeted products. Our company is the only solution provider offering this market segment a system that is close to being off-the-shelf,” Schumacher said.
“We’ve automated elements of the insurance sales and service process for over 70 health plans and insurers,” said Connecture’s Ellen Vander Heyden, who nominated the company for the IQ Award. “Our clients include 11 of the 20 largest health plans in the country.”
In 2007, Connecture sold InsureConnect EZ to five new clients, helping the company achieve 14-percent growth over the previous year. The innovative product has created high demand, and the company expects to further expand its market share in the regional market sector this year.
