The winner will be recognized at the WOW Workforce Development Board’s annual meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 23, held at Scenic View Country Club in Slinger.

This is the first time the WOW Workforce Development Board is offering the Reveal Your Passion for Manufacturing Scholarship.

“September is Workforce Development Month, and October is Manufacturing Month, so every year we try to do a theme to celebrate those two months. This year we decided to do a scholarship,” said operations manager Cindy Simons, adding that it will likely be an annual scholarship.  “We hope people will take advantage of this opportunity. Manufacturing is an in-demand industry, and (employees) can advance and have a sustaining wage to support themselves and their families.”
