Woodman’s breaks ground for Waukesha store

On Thursday, Janesville-based Woodman’s Food Market Inc. held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction of a 240,000-square-foot Woodman’s grocery store on the former Spancrete site at Highway 164 and Main Street in Waukesha.

The cost of the project is estimated at $15 million. The store will have 219 employees.
It will be the 15th Woodman’s store location and the third in the metro Milwaukee area.

The other two stores in the area are in Oak Creek and Menomonee Falls.
