Chris Wiser, founder and chief executive officer of Brookfield-based TechSquad, has been named to this year’s SMB 150 Channel Influencers List.

He is the only executive in the state of Wisconsin to receive the recognition. The SMB 150 is a collaboration of SMB Nation and SMB Technology Network, that recognizes the top 150 influencers on the worldwide SMB (small and medium business) information technology channel.
“I am truly honored to have been chosen for this coveted award,” said Wiser. “The SMB 150 Channel Influencers list is highly regarded in the SMB industry, and I am grateful to those who supported my nomination and to the judging panel for including me in this heavy-hitting group of channel players.”
A three-part process determined this year’s list. The competition began with an open nominating process, followed by SMB IT community voting for the nominees at www.smb150.com.
“This year’s SMB 150 has been an energizing experience, so it’s exciting to be able to finally share the results,” said Harry Brelsford, founder and chairman of SMB Nation. “What struck me the most about this year’s list is its inclusion of channel members from all over the world; it’s a real reflection of the diversity and strength of our worldwide community.”
In addition to the community vote, a panel of industry experts judged each nominee in a variety of relevant areas. The community vote accounted for 40 percent of each nominee’s overall rating and the expert panel’s evaluation accounted for 60 percent.
