The Milwaukee Wave of Hope, the charitable arm of the Milwaukee Wave Professional Indoor Soccer Team will continue the M&I Charitable Jersey Program for the 2011-2012 season.
“The Wave of Hope is excited to continue the M&I Charitable Jersey program and continue to impact children’s lives,” said Jim Lindenberg, president of the Milwaukee Wave of Hope.
The Wave will partner with a local charity for each home game this season. They will create a custom jersey which will be auctioned off at the game with proceeds benefiting the charity. In the inaugural season of the M&I Charitable Jersey Program the Wave of Hope distributed over $40,000 to eleven local charities from the jersey auctions. This year, the program has been expanded to include not only regular season games but also two school day exhibition games.
The 2011-2012 M&I Charitable Jersey Programs regular season game charities are: Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin, Best Buddies Wisconsin, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Children’s Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, MACC Fund, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin, Susan G Komen, This Time Tomorrow Foundation and United Way of Greater Milwaukee. America SCORES Milwaukee and COA Youth & Family Centers will benefit from the school day exhibition games.
The Milwaukee Wave home opener will be Sunday, Nov. 13 at the US Cellular Arena against the Wichita Wings.
