WaterStone Bank celebrates 90 years by giving back

WaterStone Bank of Wauwatosa will celebrate 90 years of service to the community by giving away $90,000 to five local charities throughout the month of April.
“As good corporate citizens, it is our responsibility to better our communities in any way that we are able,” said Doug Gordon, president and chief executive officer of WaterStone Bank. “It’s an honor to celebrate our 90th Anniversary by giving back.”
The winning charities will be decided by votes from the public, Gordon said. The charity with the most votes at the end of April will receive $30,000; the next four highest charities will receive $15,000 each.
Votes can be submitted at www.wsbonline.com. Currently there are 26 nonprofit organizations or schools on the list and Yeshiva Elementary School is in the lead with just over 300 votes. To have your nonprofit added to the list of potential recipients, nonprofit directors or school officials are encouraged to send an email to marketing@wsbonline.com. There is no limit to the number of votes an individual may place once a charity is added to the list.
