Walker appoints Hernandez to WEDC board

Gov. Scott Walker announced today the appointment of Milwaukee marketing executive Nancy Hernandez to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC) board of directors.

Hernandez will replace Don Weber.

“Nancy is exceptionally qualified to serve Wisconsin on the WEDC board and she brings a creative skill set and private sector experience, which will add even more diversity and experience to the WEDC board,” Walker said. “Nancy will strengthen this board on the road toward achieving economic growth in Wisconsin.”

Hernandez is the president and founder of Abrazo, a multicultural marketing and communication company with offices in Milwaukee and El Paso, Texas.  She has more than 10 years of marketing experience and an M.B.A. from Marquette University with a focus on International Business. She currently serves on the following boards: MMAC–Council of Small Business Executives (COSBE), Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Board of Visitors, Milwaukee Public Library Foundation Board, and the Wisconsin Hispanic Conduit.  Hernandez is formerly a board member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin.
