David Urban, former director of investor relations at Johnson Controls Inc., has launched his own investor relations consulting firm, Strategic IR Advisors LLC.
The firm, located at 11414 W. Park Place, Suite 202, in Milwaukee, will help small and medium public companies increase shareholder value through improvements to their investor marketing programs. Strategic IR aims to elevate the value of companies’ brands in the investment community.
Strategic IR offers development of activist readiness plans, crisis communication strategy, regulatory compliant IR department policies and procedures, implementing a social media strategy and making updates and improvements to IR websites.
Urban has more than 10 years of experience in building and leading award-winning investor relations programs for public companies. Prior to Johnson Controls, he spent 27 years at Marshall & Ilsley Corp., serving as vice president and director of investor relations from 2006 to 2011. He holds a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA in finance and marketing from Northwestern University.
