Ulice Payne Jr.
President
Addison-Clifton LLC
Ulice Payne Jr. was recently installed as the new chairman of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. He took over the reins at the MMAC’s 150th All-Member Meeting at Miller Park. He is inviting southeastern Wisconsin business leaders to join him in shaping the region’s future.
“As I look forward to the next two years in this role, I am struck by both the challenges and opportunities facing the Milwaukee region. The businesses that are members of this organization have had a significant impact on the region, and I believe we will continue to do so.
“Our 2012-2014 Blueprint for Economic Prosperity addresses the critical issue of giving all kids in the City of Milwaukee the educational foundation they need to succeed – in the world and in their lives. The MMAC, in collaboration with educators, employers, technical schools and workforce development agencies, will work to change the image of manufacturing and align stakeholders to make technical education more accessible.
“The Blueprint provides an action plan on these and many other issues, but the plan is enriched by your feedback, leadership and commitment. Please read the full agenda and contribute your ideas at www.mmac.org/innovate.
“I ask all members of the region’s business community to join us in leveraging our assets of a talented workforce, thriving economy and distinct place to advance our possibilities. The future is not just some place that we will end up; it is the place we have the responsibility to create.”
