Study aims to understand the social media techniques of nonprofits

Elm Grove-based companies Clear Verve Marketing, LLC and McGrath Marketing recently launched its 2011 Social Media Study aimed at understanding how nonprofit organizations utilize social media within their organization.
This is the second social media market research study conducted by the two firms, the first, conducted in 2010 studied the use of social media among accountants and attorneys. More than 600 professionals participated in the first study.
“We received such an amazing response to our 2010 survey that we decided to launch a new survey focusing on not-for-profit organizations,” said Christina Steder, president of Clear Verve Marketing. “Not-for-profit organizations struggle with limited budgets and staff resources and are very interested in how to use social media most effectively. This survey will allow everyone to learn from each other’s best practices.”
Data for the 2011 study is being collected online until Thursday, June 30. Leaders and employees of nonprofit organizations can participate by answering approximately 12 questions. Multiple responses from organizations are encouraged and all participants that provide contact information will be entered into a drawing for an Apple iPad. Results of the first study on law professionals and accountants were published in an ebook available at www.wi-smsurvey.com
