Sprecher releases new Wisconsin lager

Glendale-based Sprecher Brewery has released a Wisconsin Fresh Hop Amber Lager made with locally grown cascade hops from Wokatsch Farms in Wausau.
“These Wisconsin cascade hops are not as strong as Oregon cascades, which most people are familiar with,” said Randy Sprecher, president of the brewery. “Because their flavor profile is more subtle the hops do not add much in the way of aroma but their acids impart a nice change in mouth feel and slight resin character to the finish.
This beer has good drinkability. Cheers, Wisconsin!”
The forty barrels of Wisconsin Fresh Hop Amber Lager will be available only in draft. The first Milwaukee venues serving this new brew are: Sugar Maple, Club Garibaldi, Rumpus Room, South Shore Inn, Stubby’s Blackbird, Von Trier’s, Milwaukee Ale House and Sprecher Brewery.
Elsewhere in the state this new brew can be found at Sprecher’s Pub and Restaurant in Middleton, Lake Geneva and Wisconsin Dells, and Sankey’s Pub + Grill in Three Lakes.
