Software licensing firm will move to larger office

Software One Inc., a Zurich, Switzerland-based software licensing resale company, plans to move its U.S. headquarters from New Berlin to a larger space in the Town of Brookfield.

The company’s U.S. headquarters are currently located in about 7,000 square feet of office space at 15700 W. Cleveland Ave. in New Berlin. The company has about 65 employees in that office and a temporary space.

“We need more space,” said Peter Ells, director of strategic alliances for the company. “We’re packed. We’re growing significantly. Probably about 70 percent a year.”

The company plans to move in March to a 21,198-square-foot office space at Crossroads III, 20875 Crossroads Circle, Town of Brookfield. The company recently leased the space. The deal was brokered by Joe Lak and Lyle Landowski of Inland Companies, who represented the investors who own the building.

The company has 148 employees in the U.S. During the last year it added about 48 employees, including 22 in New Berlin.

The company plans to add another 100 employees in the U.S., including 40 in the office that will be in the Town of Brookfield, Ells said.

“We’ll hire them as fast as we can fill them,” he said.

Software One sells software licensing agreements for major software firms including Microsoft, Adobe and Oracle.

“We apply a single focus to it,” Ells said. “This is all we do.”
