SLIDE SHOW: Third Annual Mini-Golf & Mentoring Event

United Way in Waukesha County’s Emerging Community Leaders group hosted its third Annual Mini-Golf & Mentoring Event recently at Prairieville Park in Waukesha. The event was designed to increase awareness of the need for adult mentoring in Waukesha County and the positive impact it can have on a child’s life. Participants had the opportunity to play miniature golf with a child from the Boys and Girls Club and network with other emerging leaders from the area. Proceeds from the event support United Way’s Helping Kids Succeed Initiative, which helps parents become more involved in their children’s lives. The mission of Emerging Community Leaders is to foster community involvement through volunteer service, philanthropic giving, educational opportunities and leadership development.
