SHEBOYGAN – Labeling error prompts Johnston’s Bakery cookie recall

Johnston’s Bakery in Sheboygan is voluntarily recalling its No. 240 Ranger Cookies as a result of undeclared allergens on labels, state regulators announced Friday.

The product was processed using coconut, which is a known allergen, but it was listed as macaroon on the label, according to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
