How time flies when you’re having fun. At OnMilwaukee.com, it’s flying even faster than usual.
The people at the online daily magazine, known for their marketing savvy, have announced a party to celebrate the business’s 100th birthday.
"One hundred years is a heck of a long time, and we’re hapy to still be here, and look forward to many more exciting years," said Andy Tarnoff, company co-founder and co-owner.
That’s 100 years — with an asterisk.
"OK, it’s actually our four-year anniversary," Tarnoff said. "But four years seems like a virtual lifetime, or nearly 100 years in the dot-com business."
The company will celebrate at a VIP reception and a party for the general public on Oct. 17 at Frauchiger’s Cheese Store and Tavern, 724 N. Milwaukee St. The 5 p.m VIP reception will be followed by a 7 p.m. open party with music, cheese and beer, where, Tarnoff notes, "everything old is new again."
