Schlitz Park, the office complex at the former Schlitz brewery in downtown Milwaukee, announced today that it has added a pair of new tenants, signed a pair of lease extensions and expanded space for another tenant. The new, extended and expanded leases total 30,000 square feet of space.
The Milwaukee offices of the American Heart Association and TransPerfect will move to Schlitz Park. The American Heart Association will occupy 5,500 square feet of space in the RiverCenter building, and will move there from 660 E. Mason St., Milwaukee. TransPerfect will occupy 5,000 square feet of space in the Keg House building and will move there from 1661 N. Farwell Ave., Milwaukee.
Secuirty Micolmaging Corp. Inc. has signed a 10-year lease extension for its 9,000-square-foot space in the RiverCenter building and Wisconsin DPI has signed a five-year lease extension for its 5,000-square-foot space in the Keg House building.
In addition, iCare is expanding its lease in the RiverCenter building by 4,000 square feet, bringing its total office space there up to 25,000 square feet.
The 460,000-square-foot RiverCenter building is now 95 percent leased and the 65,000-square-foot Keg House building is now 100 percent leased, according to Schlitz Park spokeswoman Pam Kassner.
Schlitz Park developer Gary Grunau has been working on a $30 million renovation project for the complex. So far 105,000 square feet of tenant and common areas have been upgraded at Schlitz Park, including offices for new tenants, a new café, fitness centers and meeting and seating areas.
Work is now underway on the final phase of the project, which will include renovations to the Stockhouse and Executive buildings at Schlitz Park. The two contiguous buildings will have 150,000 square feet of office space and will include free parking for 600 vehicles.
Schlitz Park will also demolish the former Brew House building to create a 45,000-square-foot green space and is working on a tax incremental financing (TIF) deal with the city to re-open Galena Street into the complex, upgrade Second Street and develop a pedestrian corridor to the Riverwalk.
