What are you working on? "We are always looking for acquisitions. As far as development work, we are working on South Water Works in Milwaukee’s Fifth Ward. South Water Works is a mixed-use development which consists of residential, retail, office and entertainment uses."

How does the market look to you? "The lack of credit is definitely having a negative impact on the market. We believe the credit markets will remain difficult throughout the balance of this year and will hopefully improve in early 2010."

What was the best deal you have ever been involved in? "Probably South Water Works because of its position in the market and its long term potential. We believe we have a great handle on the market trends and South Water Works has been designed with these trends in mind."

What was the funniest moment of your career? "We once bought a building from the widow of the builder of the building. The building had been in their family for many years. We allowed the woman to keep some items in the storage area of the building and she ended up basically moving into the storage area. Every time we went to the building she was there, we did not have the heart to throw her out, she became a fixture in the building. The tenants really did not seem to care she was always at the building."
