Real estate profile: Scott T. Furmanski

Learn more about:

First Vice President, CB Richard Ellis

Title: First Vice President
Company: CB Richard Ellis
Education: UW-Madison (Finance major / one class shy of a double major in Real Estate, but I had the privilege of a course with James Graaskamp.)
Family: Elisha Pacheco (partner), Annie (the dog), Kyle (the cat and enforcer).
City of Residence: Whitefish Bay
Hobbies and Interests: "Too numerous to mention, but at the current moment, I am completely addicted to fantasy football and Ronnie Brown’s (RB Miami) knee injury leaves my season teetering on the brink of disaster."
What are you working on? "All manner of industrial investment properties, user occupied buildings and leasing. I am fortunate to work with some excellent clients."
How does the market look to you? "The market is quite strong. It would be nice to see some leases signed, although there seems to be a decent number of prospects."
What was the best deal you’ve ever been involved in? "As self-serving as this statement sounds, the best deals are those where the clients are left feeling like their broker added value and their experience was seamless, equitable and profitable. Hopefully they had a little fun along the way."
What was the funniest moment of your career? "No particular one moment comes to mind, but my most recent moment came while presenting an award at the CARW Installation Dinner. A technical malfunction of an audio video presentation for Mike Fardy’s, Broker of Year award, offered me the opportunity to stream of consciously ad lib what I thought he might be saying. Thank God he likes “Godzilla” (don’t ask if you did not attend). Hopefully everyone in this stress-filled, business has some fun on a daily basis."
