Real estate profile: Bruce Stern

senior vice president, Inland Construction

Company: Inland Construction
Title: Senior Vice President
Education: Master Carpenter/Construction degree from MATC and Southeast Wisconsin Area Carpenters Council.
City of Residence: Mequon
Hobbies and Interests: "Snow skiing, water skiing and golf."
What are you working on? "Preservation/renovation of the 45,000-square-foot Pabst Boiler House at 1243 N. 10th St.; new 25,000-square-foot production facility in Port Washington for Molded Dimensions Inc.; and new 23,000-square-foot Veterans Administration facility in Milwaukee."
How does the market look to you? "The market is currently a little soft, but we are currently involved in a lot of preconstruction activity which leads me to believe that this will be short-lived."
What was the best deal you’ve ever been involved in? "The approval and construction of the Executive Center V Office Building located at 300 North Executive Drive in Brookfield. This project was a fast track project that required the cooperation of design professionals, city and state officials. What made this such a positive experience is that all of the people involved in this project came together to get the design work completed, secure the necessary approvals and start the construction process."
