Pewaukee-based VJS Construction Services recently hired Mike Riesner as a project manager. He has more than 30 years of construction industry experience.
Mortenson Construction recently promoted Tim Jones to director of preconstruction, Kurt Theune and Mike Peterson to design phase managers and Ryan McDonald to health care business development manager. In his new role, Jones is involved in all aspects of Mortenson’s preconstruction services including: early relationship development and management, business development, design phase management, estimating, and virtual design and construction. His key areas of focus include project planning and start-up, contract negotiations, staffing and the identification of key project success factors. Jones has been with Mortenson for 16 years. Theune is now responsible for providing input and leadership during the design process for Mortenson’s health care clients. He joined Mortenson in 2002 as an Intern from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Peterson also is now responsible for providing input and leadership during the design phase of projects. He joined Mortenson in 2006 as an Intern from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. McDonald joined Mortenson in 2009 as a preconstruction manager. As business development manager, McDonald will leverage his existing relationships in the Wisconsin health care market to focus on establishing new client relationships as well as develop national health care client relationships.
