West Allis construction firm helps Milwaukee boy
West Allis-based Triad Construction Inc. is donating labor and materials to build a lift device for a four-year-old disabled Milwaukee boy. The boy, named Luis, is unable to go up the stairs of his home. His parents must carry him and his wheelchair down the home’s front stairs so he can get on the school bus each day. The project will put in place a six foot lift to transport Luis from his home to the sidewalk. Together with Milwaukee non-profit organization Variety, Triad Construction prepared a site plan to accommodate a lift. The family’s home is located on South 6th Street in Milwaukee. Variety, the children’s charity of Wisconsin, serves children challenged by physical disability whose families cannot provide mobility equipment for them and have no other resources to turn to.
